AN IDIOTS GUIDE TO BLEEDING SHIMANO MTB BRAKES
My brakes were well over due a bleed so I figured why not film a fool proof guide to bleeding them while I am at it!
Whenever I need some guidance in basic bike maintenance my first stop is always Youtube so I hope this video can help someone in the future.
The brakes in am bleeding in this video are the Shimano saints but the process is the same for pretty much their entire range and they all use mineral oil as a fluid.
. Other brands do vary in technique and fluid used so it is always best to check the type of oil required for bleeding your brakes.

Some great alternatives to the proper tools there 😅
If you do lose any parts when bleeding your brakes or for any shimano products go to sjs cycles, they stock alot of shimano spare parts, even stuff you'd never think was available
Easy when you know how good job
Nightmare!
Honest question, why would someone have hydraulic brakes on a non-electric bike? Is it just a trend, or is there something to it (like "softer" exponential braking for example) ?
“Hi I’m Fran and I’m the idiot” 😂😂😂
