Thank you for the video. Seems simple now but I needed someone to explain it. I get it now
How do you get your dmg range + % chance to hit to display over your head in combat? I hate having to go back to my action bar to look at the dmg my weapon will do
Im new to dnd rules and this video has been helpful to me understanding all these terms
Played Divinity Original Sin 2 and I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to BG3. Thanks for explaining the terminology!
Does that mean that "GREAT WEAPON MASTER" which grants "When attacking with Heavy Weapons you are proficient with, attack rolls take a -5 penalty, but their damage increases by 10." will reduce your chance of hitting significantly? Can you provide the formula?
Attack roll= did you hit or miss
Damage roll= how much damage if you hit
You explained this well.
Hey brother, a question has nothing to do with it, but what is your favorite manga?
what i still am unsure about is wich stat determines that you have a higher chance to hit im assuming its class dependend like is it right that as a class like fighter or barbarian your hit chance increases the higher your strength is right but how about paladin or is it always strength for melee classes?
its actually every damage die from a two handed attack that gets rerolled with great weapon fighting. its good to observe on greatswords, since greatswords get 2d6 damage rolls, increasing your chances of rolling a 1 or 2. so if you roll a 1 and a 2 as damage rolls on a greatsword, both rolls get rerolled. this also works with your superiority dice btw. but every roll only gets rerolled once. so if you roll a 2 and a 2 its possible that you reroll a 1 and a 1, making you loose damage, since it doesnt reroll until you roll a 3 or higher. personally i really like it on greatswords since your chance of rolling a 1 or 2 with a greatsword is 33% times 2, if you crit it goes up to 33% times 4. in comparison, two handed longsword has a 20% times 1 chance and a greataxe only has a 16,66% times 1 chance to roll a 1 or 2.
Very helpful! Thanks!
As a excited newcomer to this franchise, because of Larians authentic immersive approach to this project… Thank you for these explanations
